Motorcyclist seeks £300k compensation

A personal injury compensation claim of £300,000 has been launched by a motorcyclist who claims he was seriously hurt in a collision with a car.

According to the Northern Echo, Robert McPherson sustained multiple broken bones - including fractures to his hip, arm, ribs and shoulder - when he was allegedly knocked from his motorbike by Michael Kitching's vehicle.

The 55-year-old's court papers, which have been filed at the High Court in Leeds, state Mr Kitching pulled out of a minor road into the path of him on the B6271 highway in Northallerton.

This incident occurred in June 2008 and also resulted in Mr McPherson sustaining a pulmonary embolism and he is not thought to be likely to return to work.

“Following the accident - and because of the injuries sustained - the claimant is now less able to complete the duties required within his business," his documents claim.

Recently, John Falk launched a claim for £300,000 compensation after suffering severe facial injuries in a road traffic accident, the London Evening Standard reported.
