A man who was severely hurt in a road traffic accident is set to receive a multi-million pound personal injury compensation settlement.
News source Kent Online reports that James Sedge, who is 25 years old, was "catastrophically" injured during an incident around five years ago, in which he was struck by a car as he crossed High Street in the urban area of Sheerness, which is located in Kent around 50 miles away from London.
Mr Sedge was "thrown across the road by the impact and hit a bollard", which resulted in him sustaining a serious head injury that has left him requiring care 24 hours a day.
During a case at the High Court, Judge Gary Burrell ruled that the driver of the vehicle which hit Mr Sedge - Christopher Prime - was "75 per cent responsible" for these injuries, meaning that the injured party is likely to receive a damages sum worth millions of pounds.
