A motorcyclist is seeking compensation of more than one-quarter of a million pounds due to injuries he sustained during a road traffic accident with a bus.
Jason Martindale suffered severe health problems during the incident, which took place in his home city of Milton Keynes - which is situated around an hour away from London by car - in August 2007, the Lutterworth Mail has reported.
His injuries included a broken leg, a head injury, an injured left arm and psychological problems such as "depression and suicidal thoughts" the publication noted.
Therefore, he is seeking damages of £300,000 for his ordeal, which resulted in him having to undergo two operations and has left him needing to regularly take medication for pain and also requiring a splint while not regaining full use of his affected arm.
The newspaper went on to state that Mr Martindale has also been unable to return to his old job as a prison PT instructor and is now confined to the control room of the facility.
