Man pursues "unlimited" compensation after being hit by HGV
A man is pursuing a compensation claim for an "unlimited" amount following an incident in which he was hit by a truck, a report has stated.
According to Your Local Guardian, Carl Heaven suffered multiple injuries - such as two broken arms and a broken leg - when the commercial vehicle struck him in June 2007.
The accident took place in the early hours of the morning and Mr Heaven was drunk at the time, but he claims that driver Brian Williams should have been more aware of him and his friend's state and therefore not reversed without extreme caution.
Therefore the plumber, who claims he was unable to return to work around his base of South Croydon for seven months due to his injuries, is suing Mr Williams and the company he was working for - Containerlift Services - which offers a nationwide container delivery service - for an "unlimited" sum.
