UK businessman David Sullivan has revealed he is to take legal action over alleged libel.
He is being taken to court by Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung over a series of extraordinary claims and, in response, has said he will counter-sue for around £2 million, the Birmingham Mail reports.
The entrepreneur stated: "Counter-claims will go in within four weeks for approximately £2 million and several writs for libel, against both Peter Pannu and Carson Yeung."
He added that the men have not been able to resolve their issues amicably and this is why court proceedings are necessary.
Mr Sullivan, who recently acquired a stake in West Ham, made his comments after bosses at Birmingham City made a number of allegations that he along with a number of other individuals breached director duties by "improperly enriching" themselves at the expense of the club.
Legal proceedings between the two sides remain ongoing.
