A woman is set to take her former employer to tribunal, claiming she was the victim of unfair treatment.
According to reports in the Health Service Journal, equality and diversity manager at the East London Foundation Trust Jean Adamson alleges she was the victim of race discrimination.
In addition, she says she was unfairly selected for redundancy and was victimised due to her friendship with former social inclusion director at the organisation Tim Bishop.
She was made redundant by the trust - which predominantly provides services to the City of London and the London Boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham - in September this year.
Ms Anderson told the Health Service Journal that she learned the organisation was planning to dismiss her via a message which had accidentally been left on her answering machine.
At the time she lost her role, she was writing the trust's single equality scheme.
A spokeswoman for the employer said she was unable to comment on the case.
