Former employees claim constructive dismissal
A number of former employees of a firm based in Barnstaple are claiming constructive dismissal, it has been revealed.
According to reports on This is North Devon, the individuals have made the allegations against Applegate Directory.
Three men, who all left the internet directory business this year, say they were forced to go as a result of improper conduct on the part of their employer.
The claimants are ex-account manager James Rhodes and former senior managers Andrew Clayton and Stuart Martin.
A tribunal has been scheduled to take place in March next year and is expected to last for three days.
Constructive dismissal occurs when a person resigns from their role because they feel their employer committed a serious breach of their contract.
The employee must also have been forced to leave because of that breach and must not have done anything to suggest that they have accepted an alteration in employment conditions.
