TV presenter accuses bosses of age and sex discrimination
TV presenter Lisa Aziz has accused her bosses of age and sex discrimination.
The 47-year-old was suspended from her role as a newsreader after being accused of fiddling expenses.
She has not appeared on her slot on ITV's West Country Tonight for a month.
Ms Aziz insists that the issues surrounding her absence from work go beyond expenses.
She said: "What I have claimed is what I have claimed for years. They are trying to pin this on me for cost-cutting but this is working on lots and lots of levels," the Bristol Evening Post reports.
The presenter went on to say that the "smallest part" of her story is the expenses aspect, adding that her employers have mishandled her and the issue and it is "looking bad" for them.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for ITV - which describes itself as the biggest commercial television network in the UK - said the organisation vigorously denies the allegations.
