Compensation awarded to worker for face and leg injuries
A man who had to take three months off work as a result of an accident has been awarded compensation.
Recently, Land Rover - a firm with a history dating back sixty years - admitted liability for his injuries and agreed to an out-of-court settlement.
The incident involved a 27-year-old unnamed staff member whose role required him to fit metal plates to the underside of cars.
On the day of the accident, he was carrying a set of plates along the production line when he tripped over a hose being used by a colleague.
Due to the impact of his fall, he sustained damage to his face which meant he had to have surgical procedures to his nose. He also suffered injuries to his knee.
The worker said: "I've now had to have two operations on my nose and it is still not 100 per cent right. I'll have to live with this the rest of my life."
