Couple seek compensation after suffering holiday sickness
A couple who were forced to delay their wedding abroad as a result of suffering from sickness are seeking compensation.
According to reports in This is Nottingham, Louise and Gareth Christie had to postpone the ceremony in Jamaica by six days.
All ten members of the wedding party were struck by gastric illness and were told they could not leave their rooms.
The couple's two children, aged one and two, were also affected by sickness.
Meanwhile, the bride and the best man were put on drips due to dehydration.
The couple, who are both aged 28, claim that their big day was left "in tatters" as a result of the outbreak of gastric illness and are seeing a payout from holiday operators Thomas Cook.
Responding to their claims, the firm said it is investigating what happened at the four-star Jamaica Grande resort, which is situated near to the centre of Ocho Rios.
