Music manager and promoter Sharon Osbourne has been successful in her claim of libel against a newspaper.
She took action over reports in the Sun that she was driving husband Ozzy "to destruction".
Her legal team argued that the allegations, which appeared in October 2007, were without foundation and were "extremely distressing, hurtful and damaging".
A solicitor for News Group Newspapers said it sincerely apologised and accepted that the allegations were not true and ought not to have been published.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Sharon - who is also famed as a television personality and presenter and appeared on the reality show The Osbournes - said: "Sharon is delighted to have won her case.
"She would prefer not to have to take legal action against the media, but had no alternative in this case."
The spokesperson added that Sharon and Ozzy are pleased that they can put the matter behind them.
