A former employee of a school has won her employment tribunal claim of discrimination, harassment and unfair dismissal against her ex-bosses.
Karen Elliott worked for St Christopher School in Letchworth and claimed she had been sexually harassed by the catering manager David White on a number of occasions, the Comet reports.
The tribunal was told that the school had issued a writ to Mr White with a final written warning but, following a further claim made by Ms Elliot alleging he was intimidating her, no further action was taken.
She subsequently resigned, claiming constructive dismissal.
The former employee has now been awarded over £21,000 in compensation as a result of the events.
Last month, north-east newspaper the Evening Gazette warned workers that claims to employment tribunals have to be made within set time limits or they will not generally be considered.
