Plans to publish employment tribunal results online put on hold
Government plans to publish the outcome of employment tribunals have been put on hold, PersonnelToday.com reports.
Named Caseflow, the service was due to be piloted this autumn, however, the timetable for implementation has slipped as a result of software complications.
The deal is part of a £3.8 million Employment Tribunal Service contract with Methods Consulting.
It is hoped by some that the system will allow workers to identify companies with a track record of discrimination or unreasonable working practices.
According to PersonnelToday.com, a Trades Union Congress spokesman reported that the organisation has no objections to the system in principal, as long as measures are put in place to prevent employers using the information to discriminate against job candidates.
Statistics produced recently by YouGov on behalf of Croner suggested that the number of employment tribunals in the UK rose by 15 per cent over the last year.
