A former manager at Norwich Union (NU) has won an unfair dismissal claim against the firm, the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press reports.
Rory Bauer, who worked as a senior sales manager at the UK-based insurance service provider, was sacked in March 2007 following accusations that he had submitted fraudulent expense claims.
The firm's allegations had been investigated by NU's in-house financial crime department, which had decided he was guilty of the offence.
However, Mr Bauer, who always denied the claims, successfully opposed the firm's decision, securing a unanimous verdict of unfair dismissal during a tribunal which took place in the city of Norwich.
Commenting on the outcome, he stated: "This decision means that I can put this whole episode behind me.
"It was very important for me to prove that I was not dishonest and I can now move on with my career."
