Spears ordered to pay ex £57k
Pop star Britney Spears has been ordered to pay ex-husband Kevin Federline $120,000 (£57,076) in costs.

The money is intended to cover the legal fees he amassed during his child-custody battle with the singer, during which he was awarded temporary custody of their two sons, Sean Preston - aged two - and Jayden James - aged one.

Legal proceedings during the dispute reportedly cost Federline in the region of $154,500 (£73,430)

Superior court commissioner Scott Gordon made the decision to award the money after considering the "notable disparity between the parties' income", the Associated Press (AP) reports.

Court papers released recently indicate that Spears makes around $737,000 (£350,230) a month, compared to her ex's $7,436 (£3,534).

According to the AP, Federline receives a total of $35,000 (£16,637) a month from Spears in child and spousal support.

The pair famously divorced last year, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their marital breakdown.
