Paris Hilton has arrived at an amicable settlement in her slander lawsuit with diamond heiress Zeta Graff, it has been reported.
The lawsuit had been brought against Ms Hilton by Ms Graff on the grounds that the New York Post had printed a defamatory story about her in July.
Ms Graf had been seeking compensation of up to $10 million over a report that said she had attempted to fight Ms Hilton and steal her $4 million necklace after spotting her with her former-fiance Paris Latsis, to whom Ms Graff herself has been romantically linked.
A spokesman for Ms Hilton was quoted as saying: "Paris and Paris just want to be left alone. This woman keeps turning up wherever they go, almost like a stalker."
The hearing had previously been delayed until August 22nd after Ms Hilton said that her looming prison sentence had left her distraught.
The terms of the settlement were not revealed.
