We have had well over 3,000 VW, Audi, Skoda, Bugatti and Seat owners register their interest with us in relation to claims against Volkswagen relating to the emissions scandal.
However, we have been informed by a number of people that they have received letters from VW confirming that their cars are fitted with the defeat device software despite the Volkswagen website informing them that their cars were not affected when they submitted their VIN numbers.
Clearly this is cause for concern and so we ask that people look out for letters from VW confirming that their cars have been affected in the coming days even if they have been led to believe that their cars were not fitted with the emissions cheating device by VW’s website.
We ask that people inform us if this issue affects them so that we can update our database.
Whilst we have no grounds to believe this is anything other than a technical oversight on VW’s part, we will continue to monitor the situation and will be informing VW of this discrepancy.
If you are a VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi or Bugatti owner or shareholder, and you are interested in a claim against Volkswagen, please visit our Volkswagen Emissions Scandal Investigation page and register your details.
