Blackpool Hotel Visitors Suffer Viral Illness

By Principal Lawyer, Head of Travel Litigation (Manchester)

Personal Injury Solicitors at Slater and Gordon Lawyers are concerned to hear about a recent illness outbreak at the Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool.

Members of a group visiting the Blackpool promenade hotel suffered an outbreak of virus-like symptoms, including vomiting and diarrhoea. Tests are being carried out by the local authorities to determine exactly what the virus is and what the source of it is.

As reported in the Blackpool Gazette, local Environmental Health officials have advised staff at the hotel to ask that affected guests stay in their rooms for 48 hours.

The Public Safety and Enforcement cabinet of Blackpool Council said that an officer visited the premises following several reports of sickness among hotel guests. They also gave advice to hotel management on infection control and the proper procedures they should follow.

Slater and Gordon Lawyers offer a free consultation for people who suffer from illness on holiday and most claims are dealt with on a No Win No Fee basis.
