Had a Mastectomy Performed by Mr Ian Paterson? See Your GP for a Second Opinion

By Senior Associate, Clinical Negligence

Clinical Negligence Solicitor Nisha Sharma urges anyone who has had a mastectomy performed by Mr Ian Paterson to see their GP to arrange for a second opinion.

Slater and Gordon Lawyers are investigating a number of claims against breast surgeon Mr Ian Paterson. Mr Ian Paterson has been criticised for leaving behind excess breast tissue when carrying out mastectomies, leaving his patients with a reported 40% to 50% chance of the cancer returning.

One of my clients has recently received a full apology from the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust admitting that she received negligent mastectomy treatment. The apology was welcomed by my client but it is a shame that it was not a personal apology from Mr Ian Paterson.

I would urge anyone who has had a mastectomy performed by Mr Ian Paterson to see their GP to arrange for a second opinion.  I would also urge them to contact Slater and Gordon Lawyers to find out about claiming clinical negligence compensation on a No Win, No Fee basis.
