More Failed Mastectomy Patients Coming Forward

By Senior Associate, Clinical Negligence

Another patient has come forward to speak about her Cleavage Enhancing Mastectomy undertaken by Mr Paterson.

This lady had a mastectomy at the Spire Parkway Hospital in 2005. In 2009 Mr Paterson carried out a mastectomy on the other side as well as reconstructive surgery.  It's shocking to read that she was not called back by the hospital following the investigations into Mr Paterson.

The Spire Parkway say that they are currently in the process of reviewing Mr Paterson's mastectomy patients to determine who may benefit from a recall. My fear is that while they are carrying out this review, they are leaving many women at risk of developing breast cancer. By the time they have completed their investigations, it may be too little, too late.

I urge women who had a mastectomy carried out by Mr Patterson to contact Slater and Gordon Lawyers. We are handling these claims for a group of women and are happy to provide free legal advice to others. We offer a free consultation and 98% of our clinical negligence claims are dealt with on a No Win, No Fee basis.
