If the Police request that you attend an interview at a Police Station, call our Driving Offence Solicitors for a free consultation on freephone 0808 175 8000 or contact us online and we will call you.

Most road traffic offences do not require you to attend at a police station for a recorded interview as they are dealt with via summons. With Drink Driving offences defendants attend the police station but are usually charged and released without an interview.

However, in circumstances when the police do intend to interview you, you should get expert legal advice and representation. The police station interview is without doubt the most important part of any case. How you conduct yourself in the interview and whether you answer questions, provide an account or say 'no comment' can be the factor that prevents you being charged by the police; or enables you to win your case at Court months or years later.

It is possible to receive free legal advice in the police station from duty solicitors but they do not have expert knowledge of Road Traffic Law and procedures. Furthermore, road traffic offence cases rarely, if ever qualify for legal aid once the case gets to Court.

We charge privately for legal representation in a police station and our Solicitor fees are reasonable and very competitive. People usually find that paying for legal representation in the police station is often much cheaper that paying to try and defend the case in Court.
