Nic's expertise covers all aspects of Personal Injury law for Claimants including in particular Police training accidents, road traffic accidents and public/occupiers liability claims for officers injured whilst on duty. He has 16 years' experience pursuing claims for Police Officers in all contexts.

The Legal 500 2013 edition states that "Nicholas Collins heads an efficient team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers, acting on behalf of the Police Federation and other unions, as well handling a wide range of more general claims. Collins handles higher-value claims".

Trial successes include cases for a Fire Arms Officer thought to have been shot by a colleague and officers who have tripped/slipped in stations, training accidents and even against the Council for a highways defect caused by a refuse collection vehicle.

Nic qualified in 1995 then undertook Police Federation work for Pattinson & Brewer in Bristol from 1996 – 2000 before moving to the Cardiff office of Russell Jones & Walker, now Slater and Gordon Lawyers, in 2000 where I have remained since.  Made a Partner and Local Head of Department in 2004.
