Carolann is a Principal Lawyer (Partner) at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester specialising in claims for people with Asbestos related diseases and other chest problems including occupational asthma and silicosis.  

Carolann has over 15 years of experience assisting those with asbestos related conditions and other chest problems.

She has been involved in most of the landmark cases in this area of law, her previous firm having represented the claimants in all the asbestos disease landmark cases which reached the House of Lords over the past 30 years.

She represented Joan Eddleston, the claimant in a lead case against Independent Insurance Company in the most recent test case in this area to reach the Supreme Court known as the Trigger Litigation.

Known as a tenacious and determined litigator, she is often chosen to handle complex and difficult cases. She is noted in Chambers and the Legal 500 and has lectured on asbestos related disease.

Carolann joined John Pickering and Partners (now part of Slater and Gordon) in 1993 and became a Partner in 1996.

Carolann is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and a Member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Personal Injury Panel. She is a Trustee of the John Pickering and Partners Charitable Trust.

She has assisted in a specialist publication on occupational disease and lectured on asbestos related disease and has written articles relevant to current issues in her area of practice.
