Experience Profile

Tristan was admitted onto the Law Society roll in 1991 and joined Russell Jones & Walker (now Slater & Gordon Lawyers) in 1996 where he was made a partner in 2004. He is now a Principal Lawyer (Partner) within the London Personal Injury department. Tristan has extensive experience in claimant personal injury work having worked in this area since his admission in 1991 for a variety of clients.

He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the College of Personal Injury Law and is on the Law Society Personal Injury Panel. Alongside this he is also a member of the British-German Jurist Assocation.

In addition to this Tristan has considerable experience of high value spinal, head and amputee injury claims and an excellent growing practice in Aviation and Marine accidents. Tristan also has experience in personal injury claims involving diving. He also has experience in employer's liability cases. Furthermore Tristan specialises in road traffic accidents and public liability cases for both private clients and associations including the Police Federation.

Recent Cases:

Skidmore v MoD & Rolls Royce - fatal accident dependency claim for the widow of a Royal Navy Air Corp pilot killed off the coast of the United States.

Dawkins v Carnival plc (trading as P&O Cruises) - reported - successful claim in the Court of Appeal for a claimant injured on board a cruise ship in international waters.

Blair v Chief Constable of Sussex (2012) - Successful claim in the Court of Appeal on behalf of a serving Police Officer who broke his ankle and tibia while undertaking an advanced motorcycle course as part of his training with the Sussex police force.
