Tim Deeming Principal Lawyer, Clinical and Medical Negligence

Experience Profile

Tim is a Medical Negligence Lawyer who heads up the team for Slater and Gordon in Cambridge.

He has more than a decade of experience working exclusively in this field and is an expert in catastrophic and spinal injury as well as those surrounding birth and surgery.

During his career he has handled many pioneering and newsworthy cases, including the first below knee amputee firefighter who won the right to return to active duties in Europe.

He also secured compensation for a person who became wheelchair dependent as a result of contaminated blood products.

Media exposure after one of Tim’s many cases concerning spinal injury was used by the Labour party in a House of Commons and House of Lords debate about access to justice and the importance of public funding.

Through his work Tim strives to ensure that lessons are learnt, and effective training provided, to ensure that patient safety is improved and protected.
