Experience Profile

Munia is a Trainee Solicitor in Slater and Gordon's Employment Law department in Manchester.

Munia assists in a variety of Employment Law matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment, victimisation and breaches of contract. 

She previously worked at Lexis Nexis as a research associate and volunteered with the CAB and Women’s aid.

After completing the LPC Munia joined Slater and Gordon as a Legal Advisor providing advice on a wide range of legal issues to various union and affinity group clients. She was praised for her extensive legal knowledge and excellent client care skills. As part of her role she also helped victims of criminal injuries obtain compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) by handling their claims.

Munia then joined the Family department at Slater and Gordon as a Paralegal where she handled her own caseload of divorce and dissolution of partnership files. As part of this role she also attended court hearings on children matters and undertook pro-bono work by providing Family Law advice at the pro-bono legal advice clinic at the Manchester courts.

Munia graduated with a 2:1 in LLB (Honours) Law and then went on to  complete her postgraduate studies at the College of Law in Manchester obtaining a distinction.

She is a member of the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group and the Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society.
