Liz works entirely for Claimants. She specialises in the area of road traffic accidents for cyclists, motorists and pedestrians. Her past success in road traffic accidents includes acting for Paula Craig, a police officer who was paralysed in a cycling accident, where she recovered £1m in damages within 12 months of the date of the accident.

Alongside this Liz has a particular expertise and interest in claims of maximum severity particularly spinal injuries and amputees. She has handled numerous complex cases of maximum severity including one of the largest known settlements for single limbed amputee where damages were recovered in the sum of £2.75m.

Liz Dux is a Practice Group Leader in the Personal Injury department and is the PI Client Partner for the Police Federation, the firm’s largest Institutional client. She is a regular contributor of articles for Police Federation publications such as Metline and is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers as well as the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel.

In conjunction to this, Liz is a patron of local Victim Support schemes. She regularly gives pro bono advice and is a regular lecturer to the national charity, Victim Support, on obtaining compensation for victims of crimes of violence. She also regularly advises the Crossroads Women's Centre and Women Against Rape in their work in obtaining compensation for victims of sex abuse, assault and rape. Liz is highly regarded by her clients, and is regularly thanked for the hard work she puts into each case. One client recently commented on Liz's fantastic "patience and understanding." She has also been complemented for the "personal attention" she puts into cases. She has considerable experience in advising victims of crimes of violence and is recognised as being ‘efficient, organised and methodical’ by the Legal 500.

Reported Cases

Cyclists life turned upside down after deliberate and serious assault - Liz worked on this case which involved a man who suffered serious head injuries and a fractured hip after he was deliberately pushed off his bike.

Family of local hit and run victim "devastated" as sentence announced - Liz represented the family of a man who was killed following being hit by a car whilst he was riding his bicycle. Read the case here.
