Liz DuxNational Head of Personal Injury South East and Central
Liz is head of the personal injury department for central and south-east England and also runs the abuse department in London.
A highly-regarded and experienced professional, she specialises in physical and sexual abuse claims.
She has practiced in this area of law for many years and as such is the lead lawyer in the Jimmy Savile litigation representing over 178 victims in claims against the BBC, the NHS, Barnados, Mind, and the Savile Estate.
She is also representing all of victims in relation to claims against Rolf Harris.
During her career she has handled numerous claims brought by victims of school abuse such as those at Ashdown House, St Paul’s, Tiffin, Chetham's Music School, Durham Choristers, St Paul’s Cathedral Choir School and other independent and state primary and secondary schools.
Other high profile abuse cases she has worked on involve claims against The Church of England, the Scout Association, St John’s Ambulance Service and Barnados. She is a lead campaigner for reforming the law to introduce mandatory reporting of child abuse for regulated activities and is regularly interviewed in the national media as an expert in her field.
She has appeared on the BBC news, Newsnight and The Today programme among others.
