Kaleel is a Family & Divorce Solicitor at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in London.
Kaleel practises in all areas of family law, with a particular emphasis on divorce and financial remedy proceedings. He advises in cases involving a wide range of issues, including the ownership of companies and company assets, pre/post-nuptial agreements and cases with an international element.
Kaleel regularly appears on TV, is quoted in the press and conducts Radio interviews discussing family law. His recent appearances include Sky News, Channel 5 News, The Times, Daily Mail, The Guardian, BBC London & Classic FM.
Kaleel provides Sharia compliant advice to national and international Muslim clients seeking advice in relation to Islamic divorce including Talaq, Khulla and resulting financial claims.
He currently heads the Islamic Family Law division providing a bespoke, holistic service tailored to Muslim and Asian client needs.
He has a particular interest in – and vast experience of - cases concerning the Sub-Continent (South Asia), the Middle East & Russia.
Kaleel’s practice focuses on representing parents who are often locked into fraught and highly contentious residence and child contact disputes, specialising in Domestic and International relocation cases. His particular skills lie in advising parties in intractable and alienated parent cases involving serious allegations of drug addiction, emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
Kaleel is regularly instructed for cases held in the High Court relating to child abduction matters and cases concerned with the international movement of children, Hague and non Hague, Inherent Jurisdiction, Wardship, and Brussels IIR.
He was recently instructed by one of the parties in the case of: Harrow v A  EWHC 303 (Fam) which has been internationally reported by the press.

Kaleel was educated at Balderstone School and Liverpool Law School. He was a Peter Ogden Trust Scholar and now lives and works in London. In his spare time he enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in theatre and the arts.
