Experience Profile
Kaleel is a Solicitor in the family department based at our Chancery Lane office in London and is also available for appointments in Manchester.
Kaleel advises on all areas of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, pre and post nuptial agreements and children matters. On the financial side, he has experience in cases involving family businesses and property abroad. He has acted on behalf of high net worth individuals including a diamond business entrepreneur.
Kaleel works in the Islamic Legal Services division launched for the first time in the UK to provide a bespoke holistic service tailored to Muslim and Asian client needs. He has both international and UK clients and particularly enjoys the Islamic elements of family law.
Kaleel read Law at Liverpool Law School and completed his postgraduate studies in Liverpool and at BPP Manchester. He trained at a City centre practice based in Liverpool and moved to London after being admitted as a solicitor. He now provides speeches for organisations including Universities who wish to gain a better understanding of the increasing demand for Islamic family law in the UK.
Kaleel is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational family law proceedings. He is also on the committee of CEDAR, a pan European Muslim professional’s network created to bolster the visibility of successful Muslims within wider society.
A native English speaker, he is also fluent in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and is currently learning Mandarin.
