Experience Profile

Helen is a professional support lawyer working with the real estate team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester.

The primary focus of her role is to ensure that colleagues and clients are kept up to date with new law and market practice.

As such, she is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s knowledge, practices and procedures in the field of real estate law are maintained at the highest level.

As well as communicating significant developments in real estate to clients, contacts and colleagues, she writes legal updates and articles and delivers a comprehensive in-house training programme.

She is also charged with developing and managing precedents, ensuring that the expertise and knowledge within the real estate group is readily shared and collating and managing the real estate knowledgebase.

During her career – particularly during her time at Cobbetts LLP - she has worked on a variety of property transactions involving the acquisition, disposal and letting of commercial property and real estate finance work for leading lending institutions.

Her knowledge in the field has led to her creating and delivering a number of bespoke training courses and seminars.

She has written training materials for undergraduates and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) while employed as an associate lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University.
