Cancer can develop in the lymph, part of the immune system which helps to fight disease. There are 2 main types: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Warning signs of lymphoma can include weight loss, tiredness, night sweats, fevers and itching.
There are various different types of lymphoma. The condition is normally diagnosed by blood tests, x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, biopsy (looking closely at tissue under a microscope and taking bone marrow samples. It is usually treated by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, steroids and other forms of therapy.
